Wednesday
Today I finished the last of my spanish homework. It included a short essay on how Military Advertising affects young minds, and how a young boy was blinded by this, but "immunized" once he joined and actually saw how horrible it truely was. Later on I watched Captain Phillips. I really enjoyed it because it was always full of suspense.

The rest of the day I stayed home, and spent my time on the computer, reading, and watching tv.

Tuesday
The following morning my cousin had come back to help with the backyard. I got dressed in "gardening" clothes since I didn't want to get my general clothes dirty. I pulled out the lawnmower and began to cut the grass in the back. We took turns in cutting hard-to-reach areas and we finished around noon time. I said goodbye and I spent my leisure time watching a show on how Russians killed whales to forge weapons of mass destruction, boy was I vexed.

Later that day I went to the Monterey Bay Aquarium and watched a variety of different sea animals swim within their colossal tanks. I was amazed, one of the many reasons why I would love to become a marine biologist. On the way home we passed a Maserati dealership, and I sat there and thought of how far human engineering had come throughout history to manufacture such astonoshing vehicles.
Monday
I was at home when I heard a knock on the door. I answered it and it was my cousin David. He had come to help us to fix our lawnmower that had been broken for about 2 weeks. In 2 weeks our lawn had grown a lot and It needed to be cut. He put the lawnmower in the back on his pickup truck and he took us to a shop after a diagnosis he had made on the machine.

We arrived at the shop and we bought a new spark plug, the old one was the source of the problem. We went back home and by then it was practically dark, so I only mowed the front. My cousin David in the mean time was trimming the grass at the edge and getting rid of excess grass currings being left by the lawnmower.

Although it sounds mean, I do not think General Ed. students and Special Ed. students should be combined into the same classroom because they would not be on the same level, wether it be higher or lower. However it is ok to combine them in activities that do not require certain academic skills or physical abilities so that some don't feel excluded.

Mrs. Hines class was a delightful experience. All if not most of the students in class were content and excited for what was in store that day, although I'm pretty sure they always are. Mrs. Hines has excellent classroom management and knows how to capture the students' attention with ease. I thought it was nice how Mrs. Hines wanted the kids to do things on their own without the need for help. One would think that Special Ed. kids would need help, but Mrs. Hines broke that stereotype by allowing them to try things out of their comfort zone, which helped them learn how to do things for themselves.
The kids only needed help with things that they seriously needed help with, such as if they were handicapped. I felt as though I only went to watch them bake the cinnabons, because of how independent Mrs. Hines' kids learned to be, which is very noble. (excuse me if some words don't fit/are spelled incorrectly.)

My next semester goals include adopting better study skills, writing skills, and trying harder. I will attain these goals by learning how to, and actually trying my best to. ('trying my best to try harder' sounds weird but oh well.)
